David J. Whyte is a well-known Scottish photographer and travel writer, particularly recognised for his contributions to the golf tourism industry. With over 30 years of experience, he has been a leading voice in promoting golf destinations both in Scotland and abroad.

Whyte serves as a member of the judging panel for the annual Scottish Golf Tourism Awards and has been VisitScotland's principal golf landscape photographer since the early 90s. In that capacity, he has photographed every golf course in Scotland.

In addition to his focus on golf, Whyte has a passion for travel writing and photography that captures the essence of locations around the world.

He has lived on the island of Madeira since 2017 where he continues to write for various publications and explore the island's culture and landscapes.
